Osteopathy is a safe, professional treatment centered on restoring pain free movement to the muscles and joints of the body. Osteopaths use their hands to work on tight muscles and restricted joints in order to restore full, pain free movements. Osteopaths are best known for treating back pain and neck pain, but they are trained to treat all joint pain. Our Osteopaths in Oxford treat hip pain, shoulder pain, knee pain and trapped nerves every day.

Helping with Long Term Pain: OsteoMAP, a 6 week course run by Osteopath Ben Ousey
Ben Ousey, Registered Osteopath, is also trained to help clients manage long term pain. He completed a course at The British School of Osteopathy (BSO) that has been awarded a Department of Health Innovation grant to develop OsteoMAP, a new service that integrates Osteopathy, Mindfulness and Acceptance-based approaches to healthcare into a series of six individual sessions for patients with persistent pain. The course aims to support people who are already receiving osteopathy for long-term musculoskeletal conditions that are alleviated but not completely resolved by manual therapy alone.
The OsteoMAP course aims to help people find pathways to living more active and fulfilling lives, by participating in experiential exercises to enhance their own health and well-being, and to guide ‘hands on’ treatment. Participants will be asked to practice mindfulness-based exercises at home during the course, to develop their skills and resilience, and to engage with activities which link to their values and personal goals, to help them create a more meaningful life, despite on-going pain. Please contact us for more details, or to book a course of treatment.
We specialise in offering sports massage: massage that is quite firm, but is effective at releasing deep muscular tension. If you want the sort of gentle, stroking massage that you may experience in a spa, then please go to a spa! All our massage therapists are fully trained and insured, most of them have worked with us for years, testament to their skill and ability to help with neck pain, shoulder pain, sports injuries and back pain.
